Ethiopia Ranked 7 in the Top 10 Wealthiest African Countries According to GDP in 2021.
In recent years, Ethiopia has opened its hard-fastened economy to international investors through deals in Ethio Telecom and other state-owned entities. Ethiopia takes Angola’s place from last year’s list as the latter fell to the bottom of Africa’s wealthiest countries ranked by GDP.

4. Algeria – $151.46 billion
5. Morocco – $124 billion
6. Kenya – $106.04 billion
7. Ethiopia – $93.97 billion

9. Cote d'Ivoire – $70.99 billion
10. Angola – $66.49 billion
