Founded by two young engineers, Boaz Berhanu and Jermia Bayisa, Debo Engineering is an emerging technology-based startup company that aims to solve community problems using technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, ML, IOT, Image Processing, Big Data analysis and mobile computing.
The software company has accomplished ground-breaking initiatives, such as the first country-level big data collection and developing an algorithm that detects early plant disease. They design, analyze, develop, and implement digital business applications solutions for agriculture, transportation, health, education, and other sectors.
Debo Engineering has represented Ethiopia in various Africa-level and global competitions, gaining international recognition and awards for its innovations. Recently, Debo was the Winner of the World Bank's AgTech and Inclusive Insurance Challenge 2022 from 208 applications and 23 countries across Africa.
