African Countries Declare Visa-Free Travel

African countries are on the move to open their doors for businesses and the free movement of people.

Rwanda and Kenya are taking significant strides toward fostering intercontinental business and tourism by introducing visa-free travel for African nationals. With Kenya aiming to put this initiative into effect by the end of the year, they join the ranks of Gambia, Benin, and Seychelles in easing border policies.

This move underscores the continent's recognition of its burgeoning middle class and their pivotal role in the future of global tourism. Despite Africa's vision to become a unified tourist hub, currently, 60% of its tourists still come from outside the continent, according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. This new visa policy could be a game-changer, potentially unlocking Africa's vast tourism and economic potential through the free movement of goods, services, people and ideas across the continent.
